The one-seat two-engine Su-27 aircraft was constructed with the aim of to win and to keep its air superiority and to be able to carry on a distant air target missile interception as well as a high maneuver dog air fight.
The beginning of the aircraft construction works refers to 1969. The first test Su-27 aircraft (T-10C-1 or T-10-7) made its first flight on the 20th of April, 1981 (the pilot-tester V.S. llyushin).
The Su-27 model has been serially produced in Komsomolsk-on-the Amur city since 1982 and has been adopted in the Russian Air Forces since 1984. In 1991 the Su-27 aircraft was adopted as a base aircraft, and it was decided to construct on its base the reconnaissance aircraft, the fighter- bomber, the all-weather interceptor and so on (Su-27UB, Su-30. Su-33, Su-34, Su-35, Su-32PN and others). The Su-27 aircraft (marked P-42) set 27 rate-of climb as well as horizontal flight altitude world records.
