ZVD-3549 1/35 Sturmgeschutz III Ausf F German WW2 Assault Gun model kit In the beginning of the Great Patriotic War while got acquainted with the Soviet tanks the Germans understood the necessity to increase the firepower of its armored vehicles. As a result the tanks and assault gun began to be equipped by the long-boled guns. Starting from February 1942 the production of the Sturmgeschutz III Ausf F with the 75 mm Stuk 40 gun with the length barrel up to 43 calibre. About 120 vehicles of that type were produced before the planned modification.
