The book about a history of creation and development of the whole series domestic tanks BT, conducting the beginning from the tank M. of 1940 American designers Dg.U.Kristy. Is detailed told about the reasons of purchase of the tank Kristy and its further completion by the domestic designers. In the book the serial updatings of tanks BT, and also various battle and ensuring machines created on their base are submitted. Besides the most interesting projects of machines are considered which were not embodied in metal.
The examples of battle use of tanks BT in Spain, at lake Hasan, on the river Halkin-Gol, in campaigns in Western Byelorussia and Western Ukraine are given, during the Soviet-Finnish war in the winter 1939 - 1940, within Great Domestic war and war with Japan.
The book includes a plenty of illustrations, many of which were not published earlier. The edition is designed for a wide circle of the readers interested by a history of development domestic of tanks and battle use of tanks.
