The completely armoured SPG was developed in 1943. It was the divisional gun "ZIS-3" on a tracked chassis. Self-propelled part of the plant was made on the basis of tanks T-70 and 7-60. The armoured body protected crew and units from the fire of the enemy. A turret I s immovable; a gun in a turret was limited corners of turn. The machine in weight of 11,2 tons had the maximal speed 44km/h. The power unit consists of two simultaneously connected automobile engines with capacity of 2x70 h.p. The crew consists of four persons. SPG was used in all kinds of fight. It could fired from short stops and from cover. At this time the fighting section could be open. Because of an imperfect design (the unreliable power unit, the closed turret), it was necessary to stop their production. In total it was manufactured 360 machines.
