PST-72055 1/72 S-300PMU (SA-10 Grumble) Russian Modern Air Defense Missile System model kit S-300PMU (NATO code is SA-10"Grumble") Air Defense System Designed to protect vital administrative, industrial and military installations from all types of air attack weapons. The S-300PMU mobile multichannel air defence system can engage modem and future aircraft, cruise missiles, ballistic missiles and other air targets in crippling enemy air strikes. The system features the all-weather capabilities and can be operated in various environmental conditions. The S-300PMU comprises:-5P85S main launcher (up to 4);-5P85D additional launcher (up to 8);-target designation and guidance radar and other support facilities. The 5P8SD Mobile Missile Launcher is simpler and cheaper than the 5P85S (main vehicle).There is no the missile control container on the SP85D. Usually the 5P85D Mobile Missile Launcher is arranged on the firing positions together with the SP85S only: two units of the 5P85D and one unit of the 5P85S. The 5P85S launcher provides storage, transportation and launch of four 5V55R missiles kept in sealed containers. At present this system is in service with the Russian army and other countries.
