MAQ-4003 1/400 Russian Nuclear Submarine Cruiser Kursk model kit

One from Oscar-2 class of project 949A (Antei), Russians nuclear submarine cruiser Kursk was lay down in 1992 and was part of the Navy of Russia in 1994. Kursk had K-141 identification code when it served in the North Navy. Submarines of 949 and 949A projects have nicknamed in the Russian Navies Aircraft carriers killer. 24 rocket containers on each side of the hull contain supersonic rockets of the P-700 Granit (NATO code SSN-19) system. Submarines Oscar-2 class, moreother, armed with four 533-mm and four 650-mm torpedo-tubes in the nose of the hull with Falls and Whirlwind rockets-torpedos. The submarine engine consist of 2 nuclear reactors OK-650B (190 MWt) and 2 steam turbines (98000 h.p.). Kursk consisted of 10 compartments. 13 Oscar-2 type boats were constructed during 1986-96.
