MAQ-3550 1/35 MK III Valentine IV British WW2 infantry tank model kit
The English infantry tank Valentine IV MK III was produced by the company Vickers-Armstrong since July 1940 in England and since spring 1941 in Canada.
Valentine had slow speed but it was quite securely armored by 60-65 mm plates screwed by bolts.
Fight armament consisted of 40 mm cannon, Bereza 7, 92 machine gun and 50 mm mortar, which could shoot with smoke shells or with bomb from a mortar.
The tank was reliable and easy in service.
To the Soviet Union it was exported according of the Lend-lease program and it was a basic tank export of the allied countries.
There were exported 2394 tanks from England and 1388 from Canada.
Tanks of type Valentine were used in all theaters of operations of the 40 ths-in North-Africa, in Italy, in West-Europe, during Kursk's Battle, etc.
After six years the factories of the UK and Canada produced 8275 tanks of the type Valentine in 11 modifications, such a way it became the most popular tank in terms of mass production.
Also on the basis of the Valentine were made self propelled guns Bishop with 87 mm howitzer and Archer with 76 mm cannon.
The last were adopted by Israel up to the end of the 50-ies.
