EST-72101 1/72 F-4K Phantom II Royal Navy fighter model kit
Designed and built in USA, Phantom F-4K's were ordered for the Royal Navy in 1964 under the designation F.G.I. They were fitted with arrester gear for landings on aircraft carriers and Spey engines instead of the American General Electric. They operate from H.M.S. Ark Royal as interceptor fighters. F-4M's were ordered for the R.A.F. as F.G.R.2. and these operate as ground attack and reconnaissance planes.
