The tank BT-7 was created on the basis of light wheel-truck tank BT-5. On it the configuration of the case was changed and the protection was improved.
The tank BT-7A the further updating of the tank BT-7 was created in 1934 at KhPZ. On it was established new tower with 76-mm gun with the differential mechanism of horizontal prompting having manual and electrical drive and two machine guns and antiaircraft installation P-40. Is issued by the limited series.
The tanks BT-7A have taken part in many battles during the Second World war.
